2016/17 Season
Starting Saturday 15th October at 8.00 PM BST (GMT +1)!
Starting Saturday 15th October at 8.00 PM BST (GMT +1)!
Welcome to the Junk Energy Formula Trucks Series, sponsored by famous car manufacturers Vapid. This Championship will pit the best drivers against each other on mixed terrain surfaces, using the powerhouse roadsters; Vapid Trophy Truck and the off-road machine; Vapid Desert Raid. However, in this series, both vehicles have been modified to contend on any surface making it one of the most spectacular events that will come to San Andreas!
This event will feature 6 races including on-road and off-road circuits that test every aspect of a driver’s ability and only one will be crowned the Formula Hyper-Trucks Champion.
Available Vehicles:
- Vapid Trophy Truck
- Vapid Desert Raid
The series will involve participants contending in two Championships individually, the Off-Road Masters Division (OMD) and the Stadium Tour Series (STS). Drivers will have a chance to win titles in both throughout the event. The points scored across both Championships will also be combined and the driver with the greatest total will be your new Formula Trucks 2016/17 Season Champion!
The format will be as follows;
OMD – STS – OMD – STS – OMD – STS (in order starting with week 1)
Races will be held every Saturday at 8.30 PM BST, with the pre-race open at 8.00 PM BST. For the first week, a 15 minute qualifying session will decide the grid order for the heats. Then for the following weeks, the grid order for heats will be determined by reverse grid of the positions in the Championship.
Each Heat will last approximately 15 minutes with drivers lining up at the finish in the respective grid orders, so that I can take note of the results. Then (dependant on numbers), the top few drivers from each heat will continue to the final for a chance to win more points for the race week.
The Grand Final of each round will contain the top 5 finishers of each heat. To determine first in the final, the fastest first place from the heats will start on pole. This applies to all remaining positions.

Stadium Tour Series (STS)
This series will pit drivers against each other on Grand Prix style tarmac surfaces around Los Santos’ fastest roads. Similarly to the OMD, this series will require drivers to progress through heats into the final, where bonus points will be awarded. The points system used is exactly the same as the OMD.
There will be additional points drivers can pick up throughout each week. Drivers can pick up extra points for any of the following;
- Fastest lap of the race weekend
- Longest time in first
- Longest time in first
Any of these will award the driver will 3 additional points for that week.
Drivers may also be deducted points for any of the following;
- Failing to pit during the window
- Failing to take a Joker Lap during the window
- Aggressive driving
- Showing up with a rented car (they don’t own the car/had to rent one from Vapid).
Any of the above will result in 5 points being taken from your week total.
Track Submission
I am in need of a few tracks for this event. Currently, I am also in need of a city track built for the STS; this must include a custom built ramp, a pitlane and must be tarmac only (Stunt Races are included in both categories as long as they meet the required conditions).
